I made 16 patches for this demo.
I’ll explain each of the 4 patches in the 4 articles.
I introduce 4 tones below in this post.

Common settings of each tones

I made 2 tones of “Rhythm / Lead” in each amp models.
“Rhythm” tones use no effects, and added some effects that like Booster / Echo / Reverb on “Lead” tones.
I didn’t use the distortion effects on it because I wanted to show you the characters of each amp models.

Cabinet, Microphone and optional amp parameters like “Sag / Ham / Bias…” are all default.
“ER” setting is 20% for all rhythm tones, and set to 10% for lead tones.

So, let me explain the settings of each tones.

“Drive” parameter is a little bit higher than the rhythm part.
This setting gives me so sweet & clear tone.

I use “Boost Comp” which was inspired by MXR Micro Amp as a clean booster.
This is not a flashy effect but it brings the edge to tone.

Delay is “Tube Echo Dry”. Normal “Tube Echo” is based on “Maestro EP-1” and it has the taste of tube-preamp.
But I didn’t need the tube taste to this tone, so I chose a “Dry” version.

This is a modeling of Hiwatt which has loud & clean tone.
The gain setting is clean when I played arpeggio, and it will adding distortion when I stroked hard.

Hiwatt is the clean amp basically, but it also brings the smooth distortion when setting gain high.
This mild and edgy tone is great especially for the neck pickup of stratocaster.

Emphasizing the edge by “Boost Comp”.
And my hidden trick is “Tape Echo“.
This effect is a modeling of “Maestro EP-3 : aka Echoplex“.
Echoplex is the tape echo, but it is also known as a great preamp that brings the fat tone.
And this “Tape Echo” of POD was modeled the preamp section of Echoplex.
It will accentuate and push up the core of sound.
These effects are not flashy. but good spices for the guitar tone.

I love this combination, and I use it for the lead tone well.
